A Little More About Me….

From Personal Struggles to Professional Purpose

My passion for helping women navigate their relationship with food and their bodies began with my own personal health and weight struggles. Growing up, I was bullied for being “fat” while also hearing the mantra at home to “finish everything on your plate.” This created a confusing and frustrating relationship with food and my body that lasted well into my teenage years.

Uncovering The Truth about Diet-Culture

Determined to understand more, I studied dietetics, but when I started working in weight management and type 2 diabetes clinics, I quickly realised traditional advice to “eat less, move more” often wasn’t effective—and sometimes caused harm. That’s when I discovered intuitive eating, a new approach to nutrition that felt like the missing piece not just for my patients, but for me too.

A Personal Passion for Women’s Health

My passion for women’s health deepened after I had my daughter four years ago. Like so many new mothers, I faced unexpected challenges, including the physical and emotional toll of pelvic floor dysfunction. When I sought help, I was overwhelmed by conflicting information and dismissed by a gynaecologist who told me it “really wasn’t that bad.”

That experience ignited my commitment to transforming women’s healthcare. No woman should feel dismissed or powerless when it comes to her health.
