At a time when your body and eating may feel out of control, let me help you navigate perimenopause with confidence.

About Me

My passion for developing an in depth understanding of perimenopause and intuitive eating began nearly 4 years ago after having my daughter. My postnatal journey was marred by a lack of information at a time when I felt incredibly vulnerable. As an academic, I usually considered myself to be well informed so the conflicting messaging I was receiving only fuelled my vulnerabilities, causing anxiety and eroding my confidence.

The more women I spoke to and worked with, the more I knew perimenopause would be my next biggest challenge. I wanted to be prepared, not scared and I wanted to instil other women with this same confidence.

At the same time, I was helping my daughter navigate her own journey into self-feeding and marvelled at how innately attuned she seemed to be to her hunger and fullness levels. I also knew from years of helping patients in my clinical roles focused on weight management and type 2 diabetes that traditional models of care encouraging the “eat less, move more” model failed patients and at worst, did harm. On searching for an evidence-based alternative that would truly serve my patients, I discovered intuitive eating and I’ve never looked back.
